AMS-5 in Kobe

Call for Papers

The AMS 5 conference warmly welcomes scientific presentations from all areas of membrane and its related systems. Please submit your abstract(s) through the web page according to the following guidelines.

Guideline

A. Short abstract (200 words)

A-1.

Abstract should be no longer than 200 words, written in English.

A-2.

The application is automatically processed by software. Be sure to check the processing result.

A-3.

Choose the most related topic from pull down menu on the submission page.

B. Extended abstract (Plenary Lecture: 4 pages, Oral: 2 pages, Poster: 1 or 2 pages)

B-1.	The format needs to be PDF document.
B-2.	The extended abstract should be 4 pages for Plenary Lecture; 2pages for Oral; 1 or 2 pages for Poster, written in English.
B-3.	Begin with your presentation title, name and institution.
B-4.	Include an e-mail address of the corresponding author.
B-5.	The text should be in 11 point Times New Roman font.
B-6.	Please note the Secretariat will not be responsible for mistakenly input content in your submission, so please check your abstract carefully before submitting it.

C. Special Issue in Desalination and Water Treatment

We are preparing a special issue entitled as “Recent Progresses in Membrane Science and Technology in Aseania, 2009” in Desalination and Water Treatment, which is a new journal scheduled to appear in January, 2009.

All authors for oral or poster presentation are invited to submit a paper to this special issue. Please note that one registration will be allowed to submit one paper. All submissions will be reviewed following the standard review process.

The following is a tentative schedule for the special issue.
Jul. 12-14, 2009 AMS5 in Kobe, Japan
Jul. 31, 2009 Deadline for manuscript submission
Sep. 30, 2009 Deadline for reviewing manuscripts
Nov. 30, 2009 Deadline for accepting revised manuscripts
Dec. 31, 2009 Deadline for submission to the publisher

The submitted manuscript must be in camera-ready format and in the portable document format (pdf). It will be peer-reviewed as it is accepted and without any editing.
Your final manuscript must be submitted using the template for special issue(WORD) by 31 July 2009 to am5@hiroshima-u.ac.jp. The file name must be "registration-number"+"s"+"session-number". For example, please name your file as "Z123456s2.pdf", if your ID number and topics number are "Z123456" and "2. Drinking and waste water applications", respectively.
